Biography

Connor Pound is the Research Engagement and Communications Manager at the UQ Gas & Energy Transition Research Centre. His work focuses on connecting industry stakeholders with the latest technical and policy knowledge in order to advance Australia’s resources and energy sectors. 

In his current role and past roles in industry, Connor has worked closely with a strong network of industry, research, and government partners to inform and guide the public discourse around resources and energy in Australia. The mining industry, in particular, is a professional and personal passion of Connor's, and he has a keen interest in the politics and economics that underpin the industry's ability to sustainably service Australia far into the future. 

Connor has Bachelor degrees in both Political Science and Journalism from The University of Queensland.
