The Gas & Energy Transition Research Centre undertakes independent research to address the complexities and challenges of the energy transition in Australia and the Asia-Pacific.
Climate change is a whole-of-society challenge, but achieving a consensus on the need and means to decarbonise is difficult. Our Centre aims to help all stakeholders navigate the transition by sharing applied, policy-relevant research that is grounded in the economic and political realities of modern society."
- Professor David Close, Former Centre Director
Research themes
The Centre delivers and facilitates interdisciplinary research through four broad themes that reflect the diversity of issues associated with the energy transition.
