Dr Xiangyan Ren
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Biography
Dr Xiangyan Ren is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the UQ Gas & Energy Transition Research Centre. Xiangyan’s work focus on numerical simulations for mid- and late-life CSG field production and abandonment, as well as brine injection modelling.
Xiangyan specialises in coupled THM simulations in unconventional reservoirs, including reservoir stimulation, gas and thermal production, and injection-induced fault slip. Xiangyan’s research aims to enhance the safe and efficient development of unconventional energy resources.
Dr Ren holds a Ph.D in Engineering from Chongqing University and has visiting experience at the University of Aberdeen.
